Story Starter: “I’m going to start a story, and I want you to fill in the blanks with the vocabulary words we’ve been learning.

Definition Duel: “Who’s up for a little competition? I’ll read two definitions. The first one to buzz in with the correct word gets a point! Let’s see who knows their vocab best!”

Word Jumble: “Good morning, everyone! I have a jumbled word for you. Unscramble the letters to reveal a vocabulary word: TCAHREO. What’s your guess?”

                  Could even use the definitions and then do the word scramble

  Word Challenge: I’ll give you clues or definitions, and you’ll race to find the correct word from our vocabulary list. 

  Creative Sentences: You’ll team up to create the funniest or most imaginative sentences using as many vocabulary words as you can. Get ready to share and laugh!

Word Relay Race: “In teams, race to complete the worksheet! The first team to finish and check with me wins!” only team captain can show work. No talking, bing loud

Hot Seat: “After finishing, sit in the ‘hot seat’ and answer questions about your worksheet for points!”

Vocabulary Speed Dating: “Find a partner and discuss your worksheet answers in 1 minute!” put kids in 2 teams one team stays one team rotates. Each period
